Firecracker Bonneau Double Regional Races

July 4-5, 2026

Driver entries for the annual Milwaukee Region/Blackhawk Valley Region Firecracker Bonneau Double Regional saw fewer than 70 drivers participating this year and with Saturday, July 4th marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, it was not entirely a surprise.

Three Blackhawk Valley Region drivers competed in the event including No. 34 SRF3 Doug Loughead who earned 3rd place in both Saturday’s and Sunday’s races, No. 21 FF Tazio Stefanelli who finished 3rd on Saturday and 4th on Sunday, and No.183 SM Kevin Calkins who had a DNF on Saturday but came back on Sunday to place15th in Spec Miata.

On Sunday, the action heated up at Blackhawk Farms Raceway during the SCCA Firecracker Bonneau Divisional Races, where three drivers earned spots in the Central Division record books. Congratulations to the new track record holders:

• Race 1B --SRF -- 1:18.679 – Peter Jankovskis No. 66 SCCA Enterprise SRF Gen 2

• Race 3 -- LC --1:20.800 – Kyle Mitchell No. 84 in his 1934 Legend Ford Coupe

• Race 4 – SC-- 1:21.577 – John Glover No. 112 in his 1999 Chevy Corvette

Lots of good racing and three new track records made for a great race weekend.
